British presenter Jeremy Clarkson and the ducal couple of Sussex will probably no longer be friends in this life.
After the 62-year-old publicly apologized for an article in the "Sun" in mid-December, in which he called for Prince Harry's wife Meghan to be driven naked through the streets of Great Britain and throwing excrement at them, the ducal couple referred to Clarksons on Monday "Persistent pattern" of hateful posts.
The royals also didn't believe that the moderator wrote the article about the native Californian without thinking and in a hurry.
Clarkson had previously protested on Instagram that he was sorry for the verbal attack on Prince Harry's wife.
He had launched the article too quickly, which brought thousands of complaints to The Sun.
Even his daughter distanced herself from him after the publication.
Despite the apology, Clarkson's wish to put the matter behind him is unlikely to be fulfilled.
According to Variety, Amazon announced Monday that it would not renew the presenter's contract for The Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farm.
