Google celebrates the memory of a great Egyptian artist

The global search engine "Google" celebrated the 89th birthday of the late Egyptian artist Karima Mokhtar, who died in 2017, as the global company celebrated the great artist, considering her a model for the Egyptian mother.

It is known that Atiyat Muhammad al-Badri, the real name of the artist, Karima Mukhtar, was born in the city of Assiut on January 16, 1934.

The late woman also obtained a bachelor's degree from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, after which she worked with Baba Sharo in children's programs on the radio.


While she stayed away from cinema for years due to her family's disapproval, the opportunity came to her later after her marriage to director and actor Nour El-Demerdash.

Among the most famous characters presented by Karima Mukhtar is the character of Mama Nona in the series “Yatribi fi Ezzo.” She also presented the character of the mother, Zainab, in the movie “The Grandson.” I grew up,” and other distinguished works and multiple personalities, which critics considered a model for the Egyptian mother.

The late married the director, Nour El-Demerdash, in 1958, who helped her break into the world of acting through the movie “The Price of Freedom” in 1964.
