Michelle from the Philippines picked up needlework enthusiastically and learned how to embroider rabbit-element sachet pendants from Zhao Lijun, the inheritor of sachet embroidery.
It is a traditional custom in Qingyang to cut paper and paste window grilles during the Spring Festival.
Seeing the red paper turned into lifelike window grilles in the hands of the intangible cultural heritage teacher, Enny from Cameroon was eager to try. Under the guidance of the intangible cultural heritage inheritor Ma Lu, she personally experienced the creation of Chinese New Year-themed window grilles.
"The atmosphere of today's event is very good. After learning about Chinese paper-cut culture, I find it very interesting. Paper-cut art has Chinese characteristics. If I return to my home country in the future, I hope to teach children to learn paper-cut." Enny said.
