Critics choice awards reward the year's film and television achievements and are awarded by the Critics choice association, which consists of American and Canadian critics active in television, radio and online journalism.

On Sunday, "Everything everywhere all at once" won the prize for best film, "Better call Saul" was named best drama series and "The dropout" was named best miniseries.

Brendan Fraser, who plays the lead role in the movie "The whale", was named best actor and moved to tears when he accepted the award.

- If you, like Charlie who I played in this film, are struggling with obesity, or if it just feels like you are in a dark sea, I want you to know that if you too have the strength to get back on your feet and move towards the light, good things will happen, he said from the stage.

"The whale" has its Swedish cinema premiere on March 10.
