Specializing in childcare, the Natal Market brand has been under fire from critics since April 2022. Dozens of parents claim to have bought expensive strollers and car seats on their site or in stores, without ever having been books.

Several complaints have been filed, assures

Le Parisien

.

The Ile-de-France daily collected the testimonies of around fifteen shocked parents.

All say they are victims of fraud on the part of the brand.

The story is always the same: they claim to have ordered and paid for a state-of-the-art stroller online or in store.

But due to lack of stock, they were asked to wait.

Delivery problems have extended the delays.

Months have passed.

No order confirmation was issued and the equipment, purchased up to 1,400 euros, never arrived.

The shops have closed

Drowned in calls, the brand's customer service responds little.

When he does, it's to claim unforeseen delays due to Covid-19 or the war in Ukraine.

Interviewed by Le Parisien, one of the alleged victims experienced a traumatic situation.

“I lost 600 euros because of Natal Market, I had to buy a stroller for more than 1,000 euros on credit.

My baby died ten days before due date.

I owe monthly payments until February, when I no longer have my baby with me, and I owe more than 2,000 euros for the funeral.

Natal Market manager Gwenaelle Mountary says many parents have already been reimbursed.

Some aggrieved customers have however indicated to our colleagues that their requests for reimbursement have remained a dead letter.

“Even my justice conciliator failed to reach them,” says a father.

A contact made all the more complicated as the shops located in Paris and Lyon closed during the month of December.

The manager already sentenced

At

Le Parisien

, the business manager then indicated that the delays in delivery were due to a "problem of reorganization of one of [his] suppliers".

The Babyzen company, which manufactures and supplies the Yoyo stroller, however, denies any difficulty.

But this very popular stroller is at the center of the debate.

On Facebook, a group of 200 angry parents has formed.

Some are considering class action.

At least six of them have filed a complaint or plan to do so.

In 2021, Gwenaelle Mountary and her husband were sentenced by the courts for acts of "parasitism".

It was the Urssaf that denounced them.

They had to pay thousands of euros in damages.

In 2015, James Mountary received an 18-month suspended prison sentence and a fine of 30,000 euros for fraud.
