While the filming of

Megalopolis

, the next film by Francis Ford Coppola, is in full swing, many rumors report several problems, between budget explosion and departure of the teams.

But to hear the 83-year-old filmmaker, his film is progressing as he wishes.

“I like my cast, I like what I get every day, I'm on time and I'm on budget.

That's what's important to me,” he assured Deadline, before acknowledging that he was forced to thank the visual effects team and saw the departure of the artistic department due to creative disputes.

“It was basically about managing the costs,” he later explained.

So yes, this high-profile shoot suffered a few setbacks, but that's nothing compared to the

Apocalypse Now

shoot, which went down in history as the most chaotic shoot in history.

Wait to see

“I have never worked on a film where I was so happy with the cast.

I'm so happy with how the film turned out and that we're able to stick to the schedule,” continued Francis Ford Coppola.

“These articles never specify the identity of their sources.

To them, I say, “Ha ha, wait and see”.

Because it's a beautiful film and above all because the cast is brilliant.

That should be enough to close the valve of the birds of bad omen and stir up even more impatience vis-à-vis this

Megalopolis

which promises to be grandiose, like the filmography of Francis Ford Coppola.
