After the Luding earthquake, Zhang Zili and his comrades from the Wenchuan Brigade of the Aba Detachment of the Sichuan Provincial Forest Fire Corps went to Wandong Village, Luding County to conduct rescue operations.
"After more than 4 hours of hiking, we finally arrived at Wandong Village. During the search and rescue, we found an old woman holding a 70-day-old baby with a head injury." Zhang Zili jumped from his grandmother's arms. Pick up the child and carry him to a safe place.

"I didn't expect the child's body to be so soft. I was very nervous, for fear that I would knock him. At that time, the child fell asleep, and I kept the same position all the way, for fear of waking him up. Fortunately, he was very good and slept all the way. It’s very stable.” Zhang Zili, born in 2002, said frankly that this was his first time participating in an earthquake rescue mission, and it was also his first time holding a baby.

"The reason why I am called 'Brother Wenchuan' is not only because the word 'Wenchuan' is written on the armband of my clothes, but also because I was a witness to the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008." Zhang Zili said that when he was 6 years old, he I am in primary school.
Recalling the scene at that time, Zhang Zili still remembers it vividly, "Shortly after the earthquake, the People's Liberation Army and firefighters came to us, rescued us and moved us to a temporary tent. "At that time, they gave me strength and made me no longer afraid in the dark. It was also from that time that I had a dream: to become like them.
