[Commentary] The actors put on makeup, adjusted their costumes, read their lines, and made final preparations for the upcoming performance. The audience in the theater was full.

On January 13, the 19th Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Cantonese Opera Day Show was held at the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Art Museum.

A number of famous artists from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao performed on the same stage. Through Cantonese opera and Cantonese opera programs of different styles and genres, they presented new achievements in the performing arts of Cantonese opera in the new era and promoted cultural exchanges and mutual learning between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Fortunately (January) the 8th (Hong Kong and the mainland resumed) "customs clearance", so I hurried back (Guangzhou) on the evening of the 9th, in order to perform this show.

What's more, I'm very happy that now that I've resumed "clearance", I can come back to meet friends and see my relatives. I'm really happy.

[Commentary] The excerpts brought by Zeng Hui, a national first-class actor and winner of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award, and his apprentices made the audience very involved.

In addition to daily performances, cultivating Cantonese opera inheritors has been an important task of Zeng Hui in recent years.

In Macau, she tried every means to teach apprentices, teaching Macau primary school students to learn to sing Cantonese opera, so that Cantonese opera continued to develop in Macau.

After several years of teaching, those children are very attentive in learning, and the most important thing is that parents in Macau also like (Cantonese opera).

Apart from the beauty of our Cantonese opera (costumes), the most important thing is to go on stage so that children can have confidence.

When teaching, I will tell them the libretto and the content of the story. Many children said that my Chinese test scores have improved, and I have learned a lot of traditional Chinese historical stories.

I also told the children that you are the hope of Macau Cantonese opera and the mainstay of Cantonese opera, so you have to learn a little better, at least every move and style (to be done well), our Cantonese opera and opera are so rigorous and beautiful.

[Commentary] Some Macao theater actors felt nervous because they came to the mainland for the first time to perform. Zeng Hui comforted them, don't be nervous, and take this step bravely.

She told the reporter that she already has performance arrangements in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and she believes that there will be more and more cultural exchanges between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in the future.

I said don't be nervous, there will be more and more (Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao performance exchanges) in the future, as long as you take this step yourself, and everyone must know that Cantonese opera knows no boundaries.

So including myself, I have already started receiving performances in Hong Kong. I have received three performances in Guangzhou this week, so (Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao performance exchanges) will definitely be more and more, especially for children. We have already booked a group. The children went to Hong Kong to perform.

It is necessary to communicate, so that everyone can know how the development of Cantonese opera is, and how to keep the traditional part from being lost, so exchanges between the three places are very necessary.

It is our wish to make Cantonese opera better, healthier and attract more audiences.

[Explanation] Li Huiyin from Macau has previously performed Kunqu opera. This is the first time she has performed "The Peony Pavilion" with Cantonese opera.

She bluntly said that there were many difficulties in the performance. Kunqu opera and Cantonese opera are different in language, clothes, and figure. With the help and encouragement of her partner, she added her own ingenuity to this performance.

[Concurrent] Li Huiyin, President of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Theater Association

If you watched the live broadcast or the scene in the garden today, you may find that it is a bit different from the previous Cantonese opera teachers (performances), because my junior sister Wan Gang and I used the Kunqu opera figure in that part , I used the figure of Kunqu opera to perform this Cantonese opera, so I think this performance is an exchange and dialogue between several cultures.

[Explanation] At the scene of the event, in addition to old fans, there were also young fans who were a little immature. They all watched attentively.

Perhaps the little opera fans who are watching in the audience today will stand on this stage in the future like the young Cantonese opera actors who are performing.

[Concurrent] Liu Zhixin, a student of the Children's Cantonese Opera Inheritance Base of the Cantonese Opera Art Museum

I saw them (Cantonese opera actors) on TV wearing beautiful clothes and beautiful headgear (so learning Cantonese opera).

I think they (the Cantonese opera performers at the scene) did a great job and I want to learn their singing skills.

I hope I can be a Cantonese opera teacher in the future.
