There are fewer trains at the start of the year on the Rennes-Châteaubriant railway line.

Widely used, the connection between Ille-et-Vilaine and Loire-Atlantique faces a major problem: many of its trains have to go through maintenance after multiple accidents with animals.

The announcement was made on the Facebook page of the Citizen Association Châteaubriant-Rennes en train after sending information from the Breizhgo network.

According to the association, "more than 50 collisions between trains and big game on many Breton lines" damaged the equipment.

Eight Bombardier-type trains were shaken by these accidents and a few X 73,500 railcars.

No train departures should be deleted, but the number of trains available for each journey should be regularly reduced to two cars, limiting the places on board.

A busy line

Passenger travel conditions, already regularly degraded by heavy traffic, should therefore deteriorate on certain departures.

Very popular, the Rennes-Châteaubriant line serves the municipalities of Retiers, Janzé and Vern-sur-Seiche in particular and is an excellent alternative to the car for the inhabitants of these municipalities of the second or third crown.
