He has served as the head of the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office's Trial Department and the Hiroshima High Public Prosecutors Office, and on the 10th of this month, he was appointed as the new Chief Prosecutor of the Tokyo High Public Prosecutors Office, which has jurisdiction over 10 prefectures including the Kanto region.
