[Explanation] Recently, in Lu Yuanren's home in Jinchengjiang District, Hechi City, Guangxi, he displayed his police badges, police uniforms and old photos that he had collected for many years, and introduced every story behind them to reporters like a few treasures.

Although he is over seventy years old, he still has a quick mind when talking about the Guizhou-Guizhou Railway.

[Explanation] Lu Yuanren, 72 years old this year, is an old policeman at the Jinchengjiang Station Police Station of the Liuzhou Public Security Department of the Nanning Railway Public Security Bureau. The safety of the Guizhou-Guizhou Railway.

[Explanation] As the main channel of the middle line of the Western New Land-Sea Corridor, the Guizhou-Guizhou Railway connects Guizhou and Guangxi provinces and is the first inter-provincial railway in Southwest China.

In the 1970s and 1980s, the Guizhou-Guizhou Railway traffic was backward, and the Jinchengjiang section to Nandan section was a Panshan railway. The speed of diesel locomotives was as low as 10 kilometers per hour, and railway cargo theft was rampant.

[Concurrent] Lu Yuanren, a retired policeman from Jinchengjiang Station Police Station

In the past, the quality of the railway line was poor, and the train was running slowly, and there were no guardrails on both sides of the railway.

(Stealing by gangs of cargo thieves) Climb up the train, climb up during the day and night, and go up to steal things.

(At the time) there were fewer policemen, more than a dozen, and it was quite difficult.

Where to handle cases in the countryside, most of them walk.

Go on patrol at night, often (go to) (places) where there are goods stolen, and just wait there and ambush.

[Explanation] At that time, there were as many as dozens of railway cargo theft cases every year. In order to ensure the safety of cargo transportation on the Guizhou-Guizhou Railway, the Jinchengjiang Station Police Station often undertook the task of escorting the cargo with the police.

[Explanation] Zhang Dahai, 57 years old this year, is Lu Yuanren's "apprentice". After retiring from the army in 1990, he became a policeman at the Jinchengjiang Station Police Station.

Introverted and reticent, he had a long-term experience as a car escort.

During the station, our firm also served as an escort task.

At that time, the escort conditions were relatively difficult, the speed of the car was slow, almost stopping at every stop, and the (escort) time was relatively long, such as two or three days, three or four days, or even a week before being escorted to the destination.

If it is a high-side car (compartment), there is no (roof) shed, and the climate is relatively hot in summer, so (we) find tree branches to spread on the tarpaulin, which can reduce the temperature.

[Explanation] After 2009, with the rapid development of China's economy and the electrification of the Guizhou-Guizhou Railway, the awareness of the rule of law among the people along the line has continued to increase, and the era of rampant railway cargo theft no longer exists.

These changes pleased Zhang Dahai, who had been stationed at the station for nearly 20 years.

After the electrification transformation of the Guizhou-Guizhou Railway in 2009, the speed of the train has also increased, and everywhere has been closed and fences have been installed.

The safety awareness of the local people has also been improved, and the number of cargo theft cases has been greatly reduced compared with before.

[Explanation] Today, the Guinan high-speed railway connecting Guiyang, Guizhou and Nanning, Guangxi is expected to open at the end of this year, and the development of railway transportation between Guizhou and Guangxi will usher in a qualitative leap. A key member of the preparatory team of the South High Speed Rail Hechi Station Police Station.

[Explanation] Meng Yuliang's hometown is located next to the Guizhou-Guizhou Railway. He has been curious about trains since he was a child.

Meng Yuliang couldn't hide his excitement when he learned that the high-speed rail was about to open in his hometown.

He and his colleagues often go to villages, primary and secondary schools along the railway line to popularize high-speed rail safety knowledge to the public by playing animation videos.

[Same period] Meng Haoliang, a policeman from Jinchengjiang Station Police Station

Our railway has started from the green leather train, to the electrification transformation, and finally to the high-speed train. Different eras have given us different missions. I will continue to learn and grow under the guidance of my predecessors.
