On January 12, Lin Shixiong, director of the Transport and Logistics Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said in a meeting with reporters that the West Kowloon Port of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link and the Hong Kong section of the High-speed Rail will resume services from January 15.

He said that in the initial stage of the resumption of high-speed rail, the stations between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Shenzhen Futian Station, Shenzhen North Station and Guangzhou South Station will be resumed.

The intermediate stations include Shenzhen Guangmingcheng Station, Dongguan Humen Station, Guangzhou Qingsheng Station and the newly added services of Dongguan South Station, Dongguan Station and Guangzhou East Station.

Initially, the upper limit of daily ticket sales is 10,000. Hong Kong’s high-speed rail to the mainland and the mainland’s high-speed rail to Hong Kong will each have 5,000 tickets. The station operation and passenger demand will be reviewed in due course to adjust the ticket sales rate.

  Yang Meizhen, Director of Hong Kong Passenger Transport Services of MTR Corporation Limited, said that Hong Kong West Kowloon Station will receive cross-border passengers with a new look, fully introducing electronic tickets, and the gate entry process is on par with the national high-speed rail. , the system will link the ticket information with the certificate, and passengers can directly enter the gate and board the train with only the certificate.

  It is understood that Hong Kong West Kowloon Station will pre-sell tickets from January 15th at 2:00 pm on the same day, while online ticket sales will start at 12:00 on the same day.

At 12:00 noon on the same day, the reporter saw many citizens waiting in line outside the station. Some citizens told the reporter that they were very excited about the resumption of service at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, so they came to line up to buy tickets early in the morning.

  It is reported that the opening hours of the high-speed rail West Kowloon Port are the same as before the suspension, that is, from 6:30 to 23:30.

There will be no reservation requirements at the port, and passengers who have already purchased tickets can travel between the two places through the port as long as they hold a valid ticket.

The epidemic prevention requirements are the same as those of other ports. Generally, people traveling between the two places must have a negative nucleic acid test result report within 48 hours.
