This Friday, the prefect of Loire-Atlantique announces that he has "prohibited by order the fishing, collection, transport, (…), marketing and release for human consumption (…) of shellfish" from part of the coast .
Clearly, professional and leisure fishing is prohibited from Asserac to Les Moutiers but also in the traict du Croisic.
In these two sectors, analyzes have been carried out in recent days after digestive disorders that have occurred in consumers.
They revealed the presence of norovirus in the shellfish.
As a result, professionals have been asked to withdraw their goods from these areas since December 26th.
Consumers are called upon to carefully verify the geographical origin of their foodstuffs.
