The daughter of rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, is dead. The US singer died after a cardiac arrest at the age of 54, US media reported unanimously.
Her mother, Priscilla Presley, previously tweeted that her daughter had been "taken to the hospital as an emergency."
She asked that the family's privacy be respected.
Lisa Marie Presley was the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley.
In the past, the singer and author has made headlines with a year-and-a-half marriage to pop icon Michael Jackson and a marriage of just three months to US actor Nicolas Cage.
Lisa Marie Presley would have been 55 on February 1st.
On Tuesday evening, she attended the Golden Globes gala with her mother.
