"Cheburashka" became the highest-grossing film in the Russian box office

According to TASS, this is evidenced by the data of the Unified Federal Automated Information System for Information on Film Screenings in Cinema Halls (UAIS), which is operated by the Cinema Fund.

Thus, the film directed by Dmitry Dyachenko surpassed the first part of the Avatar dilogy (2009) by James Cameron in Russia and became the highest-grossing film in the history of domestic distribution.

Film critic Dmitry Bortnikov, in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, suggested what could be the reason for the success of the new film Cheburashka.

According to him, there is a funny main animated character in the film, played by Olga Kuzmina from the Kitchen.

Earlier, Russian actress Olga Kuzmina, who voiced Cheburashka, shared her impressions about the filming process of the film of the same name with FAN.
