Regarding the English speaking test used in the entrance examination of Tokyo Metropolitan High School, which was first implemented last year, the city is making adjustments to disclose the voice data of the answer if the student wishes.

Aiming to develop global human resources, the speaking test was conducted for the first time in Japan in November last year in the form of recording the voice of the answer to measure the "speaking ability" in the entrance examination for metropolitan high schools.

The audio data is sent to the Philippines through a major educational service company, and is graded by instructors with local English teaching qualifications. Due to the lack of transparency, experts and others questioned whether fairness and fairness could be maintained.

From the 12th, students will be able to check their grades and corresponding evaluations on a dedicated website, but the city will disclose the answer data to applicants in the future so that it can be used to verify the results. We are making adjustments.

According to people involved, it is expected that the acceptance of disclosure will start in mid-March after the results of the metropolitan high school entrance examination pass or fail.

There are calls for disclosure of the scoring results for each question, but the city will continue to consider this.
