According to reports, the Wuyang site is the first large-scale in-situ buried small stone flake remains found in the Chengdu Plain. It is currently the Paleolithic site with the largest number of rare small stone remains in the Chengdu Plain and the most densely distributed. It is very important for understanding the late renewal of the Chengdu Plain. The appearance of the Paleolithic industry in the Middle and Late Epoch Period is of great significance; the rich mosaic groups and great mosaic potential of the artifacts in the site indicate that there were many in-situ stone tool making behaviors in the site; The perfect sequence further enriches the cultural connotation of the Paleolithic Age in the Sichuan Basin and completes the Paleolithic cultural sequence, which is also of great value for understanding the survival behavior of ancient humans in the area at that time; combined with the Paleolithic sites excavated in the Tanguanshan site and Shuangliu area As well as a series of investigations around the Wuyang site, it shows that Pengshan and central Sichuan have great potential for Paleolithic archaeology.

Xia Zhengkai, a professor at the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences at Peking University, said that the rich remains of the Wuyang site can restore the living scenes of ancient humans. "They lived in floodplains and were often troubled by floods. They could only stay in their living places for a short time, and their living conditions were quite difficult. "

Gao Xing, director of the China Paleolithic Archaeological Professional Committee, said that the stone tools unearthed at the Wuyang site are different from those at the Piluo site and the Suining Taohuahe site, reflecting cultural diversity.

In particular, the scene of human activities is preserved vividly, which is very important for the future exhibition and activation of historical scenes.
