The Golden Globes made their big comeback on television on Tuesday and notably rewarded director Steven Spielberg, who was very present in the room alongside many Hollywood heavyweights, despite the scandals that have tarnished the image of these awards.

The American filmmaker received the Golden Globe for best director for his very intimate "The Fabelmans". 

The Golden Globes made their big return to television on Tuesday, rewarding big names like director Steven Spielberg, Irish actor Colin Farrell and Malaysian Michelle Yeoh, who were present in the room alongside many heavyweights, despite the scandals that have tarnished the image of these awards.

This laid-back, glitzy event, long considered Hollywood's favorite night out, has been a shadow of its former self for the past two years.

The fault first of the pandemic, then of accusations of racism, sexism and corruption aimed at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which forms the jury and which had no black members in 2021. by the cream of the crop and deprived of television last year, the Golden Globes are back on NBC.

The American channel agreed to broadcast the 80th edition, after a series of reforms of the HFPA to improve its diversity and prohibit its members from accepting gifts from the studios.

Here are the winners in the main categories for the 80th Golden Globes which were handed out Tuesday night near Los Angeles.

Best Drama:

Steven Spielberg's semi-autobiographical film 'The Fabelmans' won the Golden Globe for Best Drama on Tuesday.

This intimate feature film is largely inspired by the childhood of the filmmaker, who also received the prize for best director.

He portrays a young American Jew who dreams of making films in the 1960s, while his parents watch their couple inexorably fall apart.

Best comedy or musical:

 The Irish tragicomedy "The Banshees of Inisherin", directed by Martin McDonagh, won the Golden Globe for best comedy on Tuesday.

Set on an imaginary Irish island, the feature film tells the abrupt end of a friendship between two local pub regulars, played by Colin Farrell, crowned best actor in a comedy earlier in the evening, and Brendan Gleeson.

Austin Butler, "Elvis".

Best Actress in a Drama:

Cate Blanchett, "Tar."

Best actor in a comedy:
