The truth comes from the mouths of children, they say.

As the question of gender equality arises more than ever, Brut has therefore interviewed several children and adolescents (between 8 and 19 years old) to find out their opinion on the subject.

"Boys find that girls are their maids"

Rose, 8 years old, finds that there is still a lot of progress to be made in changing mentalities: "there are lots of people who say that a woman's place is in the kitchen and everything, and that men, they have to go to work, she remarks.

It does not happen all that!

".

An opinion shared by Ariana, who is the same age: “The boys, they find that the girls are their maid.

They say 'go get me this and nananinanana…'”, she protests.

We note, over the course of the interviews, that gender inequality can sometimes start very early: “In first grade, I had very short hair and I went to the girls' toilets.

And there are plenty of big ones who said to me: "But get out of there, you're a boy, you don't have the right to go there", regrets Pia, 9 years old.

OUR “GENDER EQUALITY” FILE

Even today, certain sports, activities or disciplines are mainly reserved for girls or boys: "There are people who say that I have no right to play the violin because they say that the violin is is only for girls”, deplores Elior, 8 years old.
