On October 1, 2022, the 17th World Fire Rescue Championship will start at the Afrosib Stadium in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Ma Zhiming is a member of the Chinese firefighting representative team. This is his second time on the world stage.

Faced with the oncoming fire, Ma Zhiming continued to overcome the fear in his heart, and spent half a day training to destroy nearly 30 fire extinguishers in exchange for fire fighting. In this competition, the members of the Chinese representative team overcame obstacles all the way, gritted their teeth and won the fourth place in the group's total score. They won the third place in both the 4×100-meter firefighting relay and the hand-carried motor pump water target shooting.
