• Advertisements circulate on social networks or by SMS promising aid for the installation of heat pumps or pellet stoves.

  • The authors use the name and logo of the Department of the North, claiming that the institution finances 100% of the installation.

  • The department reacted, warning that these are scams with the aim of stealing personal and banking data.

“Good news, the North is finally financing the installation of a pellet stove + a ton of pellets.

Here's one of the advertisements currently circulating on social media or coming straight to your phone as a text message.

An offer too good to be true that makes you want to click.

Except that indeed, it is a scam.

It is the Nord department itself that warns about these phishing attempts usurping its name and logo.

The pseudo-companies have names that inspire confidence: Solutions Éco Energies, France Aide Energie… All mention the institution without scruple, fraudulently using its (old) logo.

Some even go so far as to put the head of the Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne, in their ad, with the aim of selling you the installation of a heat pump or that of a pellet stove.

And of course, it will cost nothing to the individual, since we assure you that it is the department that regales.

"Misleading advertisements"

Except no.

“The Nord department does not finance the purchase or installation of pellet stoves!

“Reacted the institution, adding that these were” misleading advertisements “.

Phishing more precisely, because, whatever you do, you will never receive the material ordered.

The goal, for the authors of these ads, is rather to recover your personal and banking data to use them fraudulently.

If you come across one of these advertisements, on Facebook for example, do not click on the link.

On the other hand, the North invites you to report it by email (dircom@lenord.fr) or directly to the Cnil.

If it is an SMS, it will have to be sent to the alert system created by the telecom operators, at 33700. Regarding the real aid put in place by the department, the list can be consulted on its website.
