Two people were arrested: Fumiko Maruyama (52), a social insurance labor consultant in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, and Hidenori Ino (48), an executive of a used car sales company in Saitama Prefecture.



According to the Metropolitan Police Department, two years ago, the company where Ino served as an officer created a false application document that paid leave allowances to two employees even though they were not actually closed, and worked. There is a suspicion of fraud by applying to the bureau and defrauding the government of the "employment adjustment subsidy" of about 4 million yen.



Maruyama is believed to have applied for the subsidy, and she received a fee of 80,000 yen and 20% of the subsidy received as a reward.



She is also believed to have been involved in fraudulent receipt of a total of approximately 30 million yen in subsidies applied for by approximately 10 companies.



Police have not released the identity of the two men.



Last year, after being consulted by the Tokyo Labor Bureau, the Metropolitan Police Department conducted an investigation, and as a result, it became clear that there was a suspicion of fraudulent receipt, so we are investigating further charges.
