"The "Shou Su Hui" began to be held before Dongpo's lifetime, and reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty. Overseas, especially East Asian literati, often commemorated Dongpo through the "Shou Su Hui"." Dai Lu, deputy secretary-general of the China Su Shi Research Society, introduced, "Shou Su Hui” is an elegant gathering that has been passed down for more than 900 years. Usually, in addition to holding traditional “worship ceremonies”, the “Shou Su Hui” will also pay homage to Su Shi’s related poetry collections and cultural relics, and hang the “Dongpo Li Clog Picture”.
According to Zheng Xiaoli, the commentator of Sansu Temple, after the former residence of Sansu was converted into a temple in the Yuan Dynasty, the "Shousu Club" began to be held.
Every year, the "Shou Su Hui" activities in San Su Temple are different, including ba ba banquet, writing Spring Festival couplets, extending "shou" and so on.
