[Explanation] Recently, "intravenous human immunoglobulin" has been snapped up.

On the second-hand platform, there is a lot of information about selling and buying, and some people even set the price of an intravenous injection of human immunoglobulin to 2,550 yuan.

What kind of medicine is this?

What's the use?

[Concurrent] Ji Zhaoshuai, deputy chief pharmacist of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital

It is a comprehensive mixed antibody collection.

(But) this immunoglobulin is not an anti-new coronavirus globulin. In layman's terms, this immunoglobulin is not an antibody against new crown virus, and it has no preventive effect.

[Explanation] Ji Zhaoshuai, deputy chief pharmacist of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, said that intravenous injection of human immunoglobulin is generally used for primary immunoglobulin deficiency; secondary immunoglobulin deficiency diseases, such as severe infection, neonatal sepsis, etc. ; and autoimmune diseases, and mostly used in ICU wards.

This type of people has relatively low immunity. I can routinely use immunoglobulin for this kind of people to maintain it at a normal level.

In fact, this drug is not used in our outpatient clinics and normal emergency situations. It is only used in this kind of hospitalized patients and those patients who have entered the ICU ward.

[Explanation] The pharmacist reminds that intravenous human immunoglobulin is a blood product, and improper use will cause many side effects.

Moreover, intravenous human immunoglobulin is a scarce resource, and it is recommended to reserve it for patients who really need it.

You can't buy the first purchase channel, only hospitals can use it.

Second, the storage (condition) is relatively harsh, and it can only be stored at 2-8°C.

The third one, you may not even use it at home, because it is an intravenous infusion.

It has quite a lot of adverse reactions, and some fever, rapid heartbeat, and elevated blood sugar may occur.

This medicine is a scarce resource, so I hope that when you look at medicines, you must reasonably let doctors and medical staff decide whether you want to use them, instead of hoarding medicines at home.

And now we have severe patients with the new crown, some elderly people in their 80s and 90s, these people happen to be in great need of medication.

I hope that our healthy people or people with mild symptoms will not hoard medicines excessively, and leave these resources for patients in need.

[Explanation] Regarding the sale of intravenous human immunoglobulin on second-hand trading and other online platforms, the lawyer stated that it is illegal to sell drugs without obtaining a drug business license.

[Concurrent] Guo Xiaoming, lawyer of Shanghai Zhonglian (Chengdu) Law Firm

Intravenous injection of human immunoglobulin is a drug. According to the provisions of the Drug Administration Law, a drug business license must be obtained to operate drugs.

Those who do not have a drug distribution license are not allowed to operate drugs.

Therefore, it is illegal to sell intravenous human immunoglobulin on online platforms such as second-hand trading without obtaining a drug business license.

If the relevant drugs are sold at a high price several times higher than the original price, it is also suspected of violating the price law and other regulations, which is an illegal act.

If consumers find (such behavior), they can report to the network platform, administrative department, etc.
