The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, which will be held from the first to the sixth of next February in Dubai, revealed that it will host a group of Emirati creators, in addition to emerging talents within the "Emirati" axis, which is sponsored by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority "Dubai Culture". .

Among the most prominent names participating in the program for the next festival session is Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who will discuss the details of her recent publication: "Through my eyes... Sheikh Hamdan's life is narrated by his daughter."

Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, Executive Director of the Arts and Literature Sector in Dubai Culture, stressed the need to pay attention to local talents, considering that they represent an important addition to the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, which has turned into an important global platform that opens wide horizons for local cultural talents to express their views and creativity.

For her part, festival director Ahlam Bulooki said, "The UAE is full of many talents that the world has come to explore, and to enjoy the creative energy that pulses through our country," noting that the festival is proud in each session to present a platform that brings together Emirati creators from various fields with their counterparts. from around the world to exchange experiences and social and cultural perspectives with audiences hungry for this kind of distinguished literary and creative experience.

The InterContinental Dubai Festival City hosts many events, the most important of which is the speech of Dr. Rafia Ghobash, the first Emirati psychiatrist and founder of the "Women's Museum", about her experience documenting her biography, as she documented the biography of her grandfather, her mother, and then her brother, Hussein Ghobash.

While writer and poet Maysoon Saqr Al Qasimi - the first Emirati writer to win the Sheikh Zayed Book Award - sheds light on the details of her literary journey in a session entitled "The Narrative Compass... An Eye on the Story";

Reem Al Kamali - the first Emirati writer to be shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2022 - explores the features and difficulties of the creative journey that women go through.

And to the sounds of the oud instrument, Ahmed Issa Al-Assam, Nujoom Al-Ghanim, Hassan Al-Najjar, Maryam Al-Zarouni, and Najat Al-Dhaheri present excerpts from their poems in “The Night of Arab Poetry to the Sounds of the Oud.”

For the first time, the festival hosts a special competition in which a couple of writers, Dr. Wasini Al-Araj and his wife, Dr. Zainab Al-Awaj, compete against a couple of poets: Ibrahim Al-Hashemi and his wife, Sawsan Al-Dahnim, in revealing what brings them together in a world of words, books, imagination and rituals.

Two writers specializing in crime literature, Noha Dawood and Ibrahim Al-Marzouqi, review more than one crime scenarios.

In the "Little Jerboa" session, writer Reem Al Gurg presents her story about a child's diary in the time of virtual life.

About the experience of converting written work into cinematic or television work and about converting texts into the art of animation in the UAE, Nora Al-Noman, author of the novel “Ajwan”, director Nujoom Al-Ghanem, and Sarah Galadari, author of science fiction books, speak during the activities of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.

Omar Saif Ghobash, Esmat Al Mahmassani, and Alexander Thomas will discuss spiritual meanings in the context of daily life, and the importance of providing them with insight, wisdom, and compassion.
