[Explanation] The Pingtan Strait, where the Fujian Pingtan Strait Highway-Railway Bridge is located, has strong winds, deep water, and high waves.

The wave force at the bottom of the bridge is more than 10 times that of inland rivers such as the Yangtze River, and the impact on the bridge increases geometrically.

At the beginning of the Spring Festival, the "bridge doctors" of the Pingtan Strait Highway-Railway Bridge started their busy work again. A few days ago, the reporter followed the bridge workers in the Pingtan Bridge workshop of the Fuzhou Public Works Section of the Southern Railway and recorded their daily maintenance work with the camera.

  [On-site synchronization]

The measured data is 800 mm, which is normal compared with the original data.

[Explanation] Early in the morning, the "bridge doctors" came to the work site, and they will make a comprehensive diagnosis of the bridge.

The Pingtan Strait road-rail cross-sea bridge of Fuzhou-Pingtan Railway under the management of the Southern Railway Fuzhou Works Section has a total length of 16.34 kilometers, of which the sea-crossing section exceeds 11 kilometers. It is China's first cross-strait road-rail bridge and the longest cross-strait road-rail bridge in the world.

The special geographical environment brings great challenges to bridge maintenance, especially cable-stayed maintenance.

Our Pingtan Strait Highway-Railway Bridge has three main spans, 6 main towers and 304 stay cables, the largest span of which is 532 meters.

[Explanation] During the Spring Festival this year, the bridge was equipped with the latest cable-climbing robot for the first time to observe and inspect the appearance of the stay cables, ensuring the accuracy and safety of high-altitude inspections.

Di Dongliang told reporters that now two such robots can complete the inspection of 304 stay cables on the bridge in 15 days, greatly improving the inspection efficiency.

During the Spring Festival travel this year, we used the latest cable-climbing robot to observe and inspect the appearance of the stay cables for the first time to ensure that hidden dangers can be detected in time before they occur. Like the doctors of the bridge, we guard the safety of the bridge 24 hours a day from morning to night.

It integrates advanced drive system, video system, radar system, speed measurement system, etc. The robot has strong wind resistance and can work in environments with temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C, light rain and snow, and the remote control distance is greater than 1 km, which greatly improves detection efficiency and detection accuracy.

[Explanation] Since the opening of the Pingtan Strait Highway-Railway Bridge, 16 young bridge workers have been on duty around the clock. They have traveled to almost every corner of the bridge to conduct detailed inspections for all parts of the bridge.

Every day in the dark box girder, they use the faint headlights and the sound of knocking on the bridge body to identify whether the wall is strong, whether the inner wall of the girder is damaged, and whether the gap between the box girder connection is too large. Big.

For them, guarding the bridge and ensuring the safety of train operation is the most meaningful thing.
