On the 6th, New Jeans drew attention by appearing in a promotional video for the '2022 Korean Wave-linked Collaborative Content Planning and Development Support' project planned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation (hereinafter referred to as Gongjinwon).
Then, some Chinese netizens flocked to New Jeans' social media and began to terrorize with malicious comments, saying that papermaking is Chinese, and saying, "Why are you trying to steal culture?"
In response, Korean netizens responded, saying, "New Jeans is to inform the world of the excellence of Hanji," and that China's excessive malicious attacks are unfair.
