Today, on Sunday, the air quality in most parts of the country is very poor.

Currently, most areas of the country maintain a 'bad' level of fine dust concentration.

Seoul, Incheon, and northern Gyeonggi were expected to temporarily rise to the level of 'very bad' in the afternoon.

Emergency fine dust reduction measures were implemented today in Seoul and the metropolitan area, Yeongseo and Chungcheong in Gangwon, and Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province.

Currently, fine dust advisories have been issued across Seoul and some areas in Incheon, and ultrafine dust advisories have been issued in central and southern Gyeonggi Province, Yeongseo in Gangwon, and some areas in Chungcheong.

In Seoul this morning, the concentration of ultrafine dust soared to 106 micrograms per cubic meter, more than five times the usual.

Gyeongbuk and Gyeonggi areas rose to 116 micrograms.

Due to the influence of high pressure, atmospheric flow is stagnant, fine dust at home and abroad continues to accumulate, and in particular, yellow dust from the Gobi Desert in China arrives. The air quality was the worst this winter.

The government has asked citizens to refrain from outdoor activities, such as suspending the operation of the ice rink in Seoul Plaza.

In addition, it was recommended to wear a mask of KF80 or higher when going out inevitably.

It is predicted that the concentration of fine dust will continue to be at the 'bad' level in most areas of the country tomorrow.
