"New Year Udon" is served at the tourist facility "Kodaira no Sato" in Midori City, Gunma Prefecture, and it is held every year at this time in accordance with the same custom in Kagawa Prefecture.
Udon is made by milling wheat grown in the prefecture in Midori City, and it contains red and white noodles to wish the happiness of the people who eat it.
It is served from 550 yen per cup, and it is popular with about 100 orders a day every year, so it was crowded with many people even on the 8th of the middle day of the three-day holiday.
A woman from Maebashi City said, "It was chewy and delicious. Last year I was hospitalized a lot, so I want to have a healthy year."
"New Year Udon" at this facility will be offered until the 15th of this month.
