  Xingkai Lake is located in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province, on the border with the Russian Far East coastal area. It is the largest boundary lake between China and Russia, and also the largest freshwater lake in Asia. It covers an area of ​​4,380 square kilometers. The northern third belongs to China, and the southern two thirds belong to Russia.

The lake is rich in fish resources, with a total of 65 species of fish in 6 orders, 12 families, among which the most famous ones are "big white fish" and white shrimp in Xingkai Lake.

  The ice age of Xingkai Lake is very long, starting around December every year, Xingkai Lake enters the ice-covered period, and starts to melt in March of the next year.

Xingkai Lake has a long history of fishing in winter. This is the birthplace of Sushen people's fishing and hunting culture. Sushen people lived here by fishing more than 6,000 years ago.
