A few days ago, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced that the first phase of "customs clearance" will be implemented starting from January 8, and a maximum of 60,000 Hong Kong people will be allowed to "pass through customs" at different ports of sea, land and air to enter the mainland every day, and about 50,000 of them can go to the mainland through land ports. inland.

Hong Kong citizens going to the mainland must make an appointment online in advance for the ports and time slots they are going to, and they must undergo a nucleic acid test 48 hours before travel, and provide a certificate of negative nucleic acid test results when crossing the border.

January 7 was the day before the "customs clearance". At about 8:00 am, a reporter from China News Agency saw at the community testing center in Leighton Hill Hall in Wanchai that many people came to the testing center early and lined up for nucleic acid testing in an orderly manner.

It is understood that the current self-paid nucleic acid testing in Hong Kong is divided into "standard service" (results are available within 24 hours) and "express service" (results are available within 12 hours), and the prices are HK$120 and HK$240 respectively.

If the test results must be used for travel, the tester needs to select "for travel" in the appointment system and fill in the relevant information.

The test results can be obtained through SMS notifications and online reports, or you can go to the test center to collect paper reports during the opening hours.
