Steven Moffat remains super motivated to make a fifth season of
Sherlock
.
Truth be told, all it takes is for Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman to be on board for the show's creator to get to work right away.
“Martin and Benedict, please come back,” Steven Moffat jokingly pleaded as he promoted his new play,
The Unfriend
, on the BBC.
We never know…
It's been five years since
The Final Problem
, the last episode of the fourth season of
Sherlock
, was broadcast in which the famous detective finally confronts the demonic Jim Moriarty.
The creators of the series have often insinuated that a sequel was entirely possible.
However, the cast seems to have moved on a bit.
It must be said that since the success of
Sherlock
, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have joined the Marvel team, which keeps them very busy and above all propelled them to a whole new degree of celebrity.
But hey, never say never.
