In 2005, Prince Harry revealed himself to the world disguised as a Nazi.
A scandal that went around the world and for which the youngest son of King Charles III took responsibility.
Only, in his autobiography,
Le Suppléant
, which comes out on Sunday, he reveals that he did not choose this outrageous outfit alone.
The Duke of Sussex claims to have sought the advice of his brother, Prince William, and his sister-in-law Catherine, Princess of Wales, before confirming the rental of the outfit.
Prince Harry had in fact selected two options for this evening on the theme of questionable taste, “Indigenous and colonial”, as relayed by the BBC.
“I called Will and Kate and asked them what they thought.
They said the Nazi costume, ”says the husband of Meghan Markle.
Big mistake
“I rented it, with a ridiculous mustache, and came home.
Willy and Kate were laughing.
It was even worse than Willy's leotard.
Much more ridiculous, ”adds Prince Harry.
Since then, the Duke of Sussex has confided, in the documentary
Harry & Meghan
on Netflix, that this disguise was the “biggest mistake” of his life.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor Prince William have yet commented on Prince Harry's claims.
