After a year 2022 rich in emotions with the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon and the World Cup in Qatar, the African football agenda will also be very dense in 2023.

In 2022,

Sadio Mané

became African champion in Cameroon with Senegal and Morocco offered an unprecedented semi-final in Qatar during the World Cup.

If the main meetings of 2023 will remain at continental level for African football, they will not be less interesting with the qualification for the next African Cup of Nations in 2024 in Côte d'Ivoire and for the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

From the first month of this new year, all eyes will be on Algeria, which is hosting the 8th edition of

CHAN

, from January 13 to February 4.

The opening game of the competition will pit host country Algeria against another North African team, Libya.

For the first time, 18 selections will try to succeed Morocco, which will host the FIFA Club World Cup from February 1 to 11, 2023.

Egypt will

host the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations from

February 19 to March 11.

In April, Algeria will once again host another continental competition with the

Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations

, from April 8-30.

In June, the

Under-23 African Cup of Nations

will allow three selections to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. 

For

CAN 2023

postponed to January - February 2024, the rest of the playoffs will take place from March 20 to 28, for the 3rd and 4th days.

The 5th day is scheduled for June 12 to 20, 2023. The 6th and last day will be held September 4 to 12.
