The list of presenters for the 80th Golden Globes ceremony was announced on Tuesday by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

Ana de Armas, Billy Porter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Quentin Tarantino, Ana Gasteyer, Colman Domingo, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Natasha Lyonne, Nicole Byer, Niecy Nash and Tracy Morgan will take turns on stage to present the statuettes to the winners on January 10 at Los Angeles.

Jerrod Carmichael will be the main host of the ceremony, which honors the best in cinema and television from the past year.

According to

Variety

, many nominees should also be present such as Austin Butler (

Elvis

) Michelle Williams (

The Fabelmans

) or Daniel Craig (

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

).

Two years of reviews

The panel is therefore varied, while the HFPA has been under fire from critics for two years with regard to its members.

The actor of

The Whale

, Brendan Fraser, has already made it known that he will not attend the ceremony, having accused the former president of the organization of sexual harassment and the HFPA having defended its manager at the time.

Moreover, of the 87 members of the HFPA, none are black.

The association has since promised to work to become "a reflection of communities around the world who love film, television and the artists who inspire and educate them".

This year,

The Banshees of Inisherin

, starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, is the favorite with eight nominations.

Eddie Murphy will receive the 2023 Cecil B. DeMille Award and Ryan Murphy will be awarded the Carol Burnett Trophy.

Composer and activist Chloe Flower will perform a new song,

Golden Hour

.

“Chloe Flower is a pianist who has worked with artists such as Cardi B and Meek Mill.

She is a strong advocate for women of color in the music industry,” an HFPA representative said.
