This is the best season in its history.

Accustomed to records, Europa-Park, in Rust in Germany opposite Colmar, once again voted best leisure park in the world, crossed for the first time, in nearly 50 years of its history, the threshold of 6 million visitors in 2022. Attendance reached "during a difficult year, where we were all hard hit by war, supply problems, inflation and the energy crisis", underlines the owner of the park, Roland Mack .

A success that the German park also owes to French visitors who represent 25% of this historic figure.

"People are looking for leisure and balance in their lives, which Europa-Park Resort, an attractive travel destination, represents", pleads Roland Mack.

Attendance probably also due to the summer heat which attracted visitors, in particular the Rulantica aquatic sector and of which 30% of the clientele is French.

A record attendance which also benefited the various springs of the parks.

The 5,800 beds were indeed “often full in 2022”, underlines the Mack family.

Also good for the job

Good news for the German family business but also for employment.

The park, which already offers more than 70 different contract models, flexible contracts, employs many French people, including many Alsatians who represent no less than a quarter of employees.

On the other hand, around 300 Ukrainians are already working in the park and several hundred people from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, many of whom are fluent in German, have been recruited.

In total, the park employs more than 4,500 people and around 8,000 indirect jobs depend on it.

Good prospects that allow further investment.

A new toboggan tower is under construction in the Rulantica aquatic area and work has begun on the new roller coaster in the future “Croatian quarter”.
