[Explanation] Zhejiang Linhai is known as the "Hometown of Broccoli in China". It is the largest winter and spring broccoli production center in the country and an important international broccoli production base.

The broccoli planting area in the city reaches more than 100,000 mu.

It is understood that the broccoli harvested from the field still needs to go through multiple processes such as weighing, packaging, fresh-keeping, and testing to meet its multi-channel supply needs such as export and domestic sales.

Recently, the reporter came to Pan Town, Linhai, Taizhou to learn about the specific situation of this year's broccoli production season from the local broccoli industry supply end, processing end, customs and other parties.

Broccoli is a winter-spring vegetable, and the export volume is calculated from the production season in November each year.

Since November this year, 1,300 tons have been exported, a year-on-year increase of 10%.

(Broccoli) accounts for 80% of Linhai's export volume of melons, fruits and vegetables.

From November last year to March this year, the export volume was 3,600 tons.

This year's production season, from November this year to March next year, is expected to reach more than 4,000 tons.

[Explanation] At the same time, the reporter also visited the local broccoli cooperative and learned that broccoli was first introduced to China from Japan, and Linhai Pan Town has a long history of planting broccoli.

In addition, due to the moderate temperature in the local winter and spring seasons and the fact that most of the residents mainly plant broccoli, economies of scale have been formed.

In recent years, practitioners in the Linhai broccoli industry are also actively cultivating fine varieties and bringing related planting technologies to other provinces and cities.

Basically growing broccoli out there, mostly people on our side went out and developed it.

This kind of seed has been researched and developed, that is, to develop seeds suitable for multiple production areas and multiple regions, so as to expand the scale of this planting.

Can have broccoli (buy) all year round.

So now in China, broccoli can be grown in many places across the country, and this is the result of the improvement on the seeds.

When it was planted in Inner Mongolia, nearly 10,000 mu may be planted in Inner Mongolia.

It also includes (Jiangsu) Xiangshui. The current 30,000 mu of Xiangshui is also our species.

There is also Henan, which has planted 10,000 to 20,000 mu.

Now it has been planted in Yunnan, and Yunnan has 20,000 mu.

After 18 years, it was planted in (Ningxia) Yinchuan, where there are also 50,000 mu of (broccoli) planted in Yinchuan.

Since the year before last, they have also planted in Zhangye (Gansu).

About ten thousand mu.

Calculated in this way, our entire broccoli cooperative includes the (broccoli) grown here.

I estimate the whole (scale) to be at least 300,000 mu.

[Explanation] The vigorous development of the broccoli industry in Linhai is inseparable from the supervision and guidance of the local government.

During the seedling raising period of broccoli, Taizhou Customs carried out full-process supervision of the whole life cycle of broccoli, and multi-dimensionally facilitated the export of fresh broccoli.

With the joint efforts of cooperatives and customs, the local broccoli has been exported to Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia and other countries and regions.

Do a good job in the management of planting bases, keep abreast of the situation of pest control, planting varieties and area changes, etc.; urge the planting bases to implement the "three unified" management system of unified pesticide procurement, unified distribution, and unified recycling and packaging, so as to ensure the quality and safety of exported broccoli from the source .

Accurately supervise the processing of broccoli before export, conduct comprehensive inspections on the production workshops, refrigerated warehouses, packaging material warehouses and other facilities of processing enterprises, strengthen the supervision of raw material procurement and processing links, and ensure that production meets the hygienic quality management requirements.
