Florent Pagny with lung cancer: how the singer knew before everyone else that he was sick

Florent Pagny fought body and soul against his lung cancer.

The 61-year-old singer, who had been forced to cancel part of his 2022 tour because of his illness, is now much better.

Proof of this, he recently announced that he would be back on stage this summer for a series of festivals.

But, his cough being particularly painful, he sensed that there was something other than the virus.

Florent Pagny thought he was going to die

Florent Pagny was unfortunately right to worry.

After his radio, the singer learned that he was indeed suffering from lung cancer.

Following his diagnosis, he was convinced that he was going to die and even wanted to start preparing for his funeral.

"I told him to wait, to calm down", explains his wife.

"The examinations revealed that it was a nasty tumor, that violent treatment had to be started. Florent began to rehearse his speech for his audience. It lasted more than five minutes. He gave too many details, even to the names laboratories. I told him that it was wrong. (...) He was believed but sincere. That's what was needed". 

Florent Pagny finally found the strength to fight thanks to the support of his wife and children.

And, his efforts have paid off since he will soon be back on stage, to the delight of his fans and everyone around him.
