Fashion designer
Vivienne Westwood
has died this Thursday at the age of 81.
The
grande dame
of fashion has passed away "peacefully and surrounded by her family" in Clapham, south London.
A statement on Twitter from her representatives broke the news tonight.
Westwood became known in the 70s in the world of fashion thanks to the punk and new wave style.
So she went on to dress some of the biggest names in fashion.
Her husband, also a designer
Andreas Kronthaler,
has said that he will continue his wife's project: "We have been working to the end and it has given me many things to get down to work on."
