China News Service, December 29th. Recently, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage held a regular press conference for the fourth quarter.

According to Chen Peijun, director of the Supervision Department of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, in 2020, the Ministry of Public Security and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage will deploy a special campaign to combat and prevent cultural relics crimes.

As of October this year, more than 4,200 cases of cultural relics crimes have been cracked, more than 9,700 suspects have been arrested, and more than 93,000 cultural relics involved in the case have been recovered.

  Chen Peijun said that in 2020, the Ministry of Public Security and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage deployed a special campaign to combat and prevent cultural relics crimes. As of October this year, more than 4,200 cultural relics crimes have been cracked, more than 9,700 criminal suspects have been arrested, and more than 93,000 cultural relics involved in the case have been recovered. It has effectively curbed the frequent occurrence of cultural relics crimes.

  In October this year, the Ministry of Public Security and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage deployed a new three-year special campaign to crack down on criminal activities such as the theft of ancient tombs at ancient cultural sites, the theft of stone carvings from cave temples, ancient buildings and their components, and the theft of rubbings and inscriptions.

Jointly strengthen institutional guarantees. This year, the four departments jointly issued the "Opinions on Several Issues Concerning the Handling of Criminal Cases Obstructing the Management of Cultural Relics" to effectively prevent and combat cultural relics crimes.

The State Administration of Cultural Heritage, together with relevant departments, is jointly formulating a special work plan for combating and preventing cultural relics crimes, making detailed deployment arrangements for continuous improvement of the joint long-term mechanism, implementation of special strikes, joint prevention and joint control, and other work, which will be issued in the near future.

  In addition, Liu Yang, director of the Department of Museums and Social Cultural Relics, introduced the first collection and promotion of typical cases of volunteer service in museums nationwide.

Since the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the Central Office of Civilization launched the first National Collection and Promotion of Typical Cases of Volunteer Service in Museums this year, it has received great attention and positive responses from all over the country.

A total of 139 typical case reports were accepted.

In accordance with the principles of orientation, public welfare, balance, demonstration, typicality, and innovation, experts were organized, discussed and evaluated, and finally 80 typical cases were selected.

  The promotion activity has a clear theme, diverse subjects, and various forms. The typical cases selected and published are representative and exemplary in terms of system construction, organizational management, site construction, event and project planning, etc., guiding volunteers to actively participate in the cause of museums.

In the next step, in combination with the 60th anniversary activities of learning from Lei Feng, the publicity and promotion of typical cases of museum voluntary service will be increased through various forms, so as to attract more members of the public to participate in the voluntary service work in the new era, and continuously improve the museum's public cultural service level.
