A year and a half after his release from prison, US comedian Bill Cosby has plans for a tour.

When asked by the host if he plans to perform again next year on Wednesday's radio show WGH-Talk, the 85-year-old said, "Yes, because the storytelling that I do can be so much fun."

Cosby's rep confirmed the announcement to industry magazine Variety, saying the comedian is targeting spring or summer of next year for his return to the stage.

"I think I can act and be the Bill Cosby that my viewers know," said the actor and comedian, once considered a sitcom superstar ("The Bill Cosby Show") and America's model father and became the first famous convict of the #MeToo era in 2018.

Cosby was sentenced to a minimum of three years and a maximum of 10 years in prison for sexual assault in 2018.

More than 60 women had accused the actor and comedian of various kinds of sexual assault.

The entertainer had always rejected the allegations.

After Cosby had spent around three years in prison, the Pennsylvania highest court surprisingly overturned his conviction in June 2021 and the actor was released.

Because of an agreement with a prosecutor previously involved in the case, Cosby should not have been charged in this matter, the court argued.
