Vivienne Westwood had her breakthrough in the late 70s and has since been considered one of the most important figures in the world of fashion.

She is known for bringing punk into the fashion world and designing clothes for the band Sex Pistols in the 70s.

In the fashion world, she was known for going her own way and wasn't afraid to mix different styles.

Engaged in the climate issue

She got involved in social issues and in recent years was a spokesperson against climate change.

Her clothes were exhibited at Millesgården on Lidingö as late as 2020. Then SVT's art critic Dennis Dahlqvist wrote:

"Vivienne Westwood is undoubtedly one of the leading fashion designers of our time.

A distinct rebel known for his provocative punk fashion”.

She died surrounded by her family in Clapham, south London, according to an official statement.

She was 81 years old.
