[Subtitles] In the past two weeks, the emergency department of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital has continued to operate at a high level, with 450-550 emergency medical patients per day (usually only more than 100), and most of them are elderly and critically ill patients with underlying diseases.

The hospital urgently dispatched doctors to support the emergency department, increased the number of clinics, and tried its best to admit and treat critically ill patients.

[Same period] Guo Shubin, vice president of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, director of emergency medicine department

We originally had 3 clinics, but we added a few to 5-6 to shorten the consultation cycle and waiting time as much as possible.

[Site] Mei Xue, deputy director of the Emergency Medicine Center of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital

After registering, we are waiting for triage. We will give priority to the most serious patients, the patients sent by the ambulance, and let the doctor see them first.

Inside is the clinic area, which is a place with a lot of patients. You can see the waiting patients on the sign, with colors on it, green and yellow.

The yellow level is a little higher, it is the third level of patients, the green is the fourth level, if it is red, the second level, there is no red now, we will give priority to the red, and the first level will go directly to the emergency room.

[Concurrent] Mei Xue, deputy director of the Emergency Medicine Center of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital

This is our rescue area, which is full of seriously ill patients.

Oxygenation is about 70% to 80% for severe patients, and patients with respiratory failure are all in this.

This is all the aisle, and the extra bed.

[Subtitles] Emergency resources are running at a high level. The hospital is actively coordinating oxygen cylinders and first aid equipment, and urgently coordinating the use of transfer beds and folding beds.

[Concurrent] Mei Xue, deputy director of the Emergency Medicine Center of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital

43 flat cars have been added outside. This bed space may not be enough. We are still trying to find a new flat car.

The hospital is also mobilizing the whole hospital to de-specialize other specialties.

All changed to what we call shared wards, or comprehensive wards.

Admit and treat seriously infected patients.

[Subtitles] According to the Beijing Health and Health Commission, on December 21, 65,000 fever patients were seen in Beijing's fever clinics, a decrease of 11% from the recent peak of 73,000.

On the 27th, the reporter learned in the fever clinic of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital that the current number of daily fever patients has dropped from the peak of more than 500 to about 380.

[Concurrent] Huang Kewu, Chief Physician of Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital

We are equivalent to the first line of defense just like the observation and rescue room of the emergency department.

Our daily work is to get the seriously ill patients up from below immediately, and take the patients who are slightly better under control, according to the degree of their condition, and then go to other wards of the hospital to break down.

To ensure that patients need to be treated, they have to be (run) up and running.

[Concurrent] Mei Xue, deputy director of the emergency department of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital

This is not the usual medical treatment, it is like fighting a war, we expect to be able to treat these patients as soon as possible to reduce the rate of severe illness and mortality as much as possible.

Hope to do more for the common people, this is our true idea.

Let's do our duty, these are the things we can do, let's come forward at this time and take on some of our responsibilities.
