At 85, blinded by glaucoma and still accused of sexual assault, Bill Cosby still hopes to get back on stage next year.

After serving less than three years in prison for a first conviction canceled last year, the comedian has just announced his plans for the coming year.

And so it will be on tour, as he said on the American radio show WGH Talk.

“Yes, because there is so much humor in the stories I tell.

Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I thought it was better to say them after writing them,” he said.

His last stand-up was in 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia, for his

show .

Bill Cosby was then tried in the lawsuit brought by Andrea Constand, who accused him of sexual assault.

Although he was convicted in 2018, the sentence was overturned for procedural flaws and he was released in June 2021.

New sexual assault complaint

But his legal worries are far from behind him.

If he plans to go on tour again, he will have to give his agenda to a new complaint, launched by five women.

The plaintiffs benefited from New York's Adult Survivor's Act, which offers victims of sexual assault the possibility of filing a complaint without a statute of limitations.

The charges against Bill Cosby span from 1969 to 1995.

"When I'm out of this, I feel like I'll be able to perform on stage and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows," he promised.

His spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, confirmed to Variety that the actor wants to begin his tour “in the spring or next summer”.
