While France is experiencing a triple epidemic, liberal doctors have gone on strike to demand better working conditions.

A social movement that divides patients, but the striking doctors are more determined than ever.

One of them explains the need for this strike at the microphone of Europe 1.

Despite the triple epidemic, the strike movement of liberal doctors is necessary at the end of 2022. Mokhtaria Alikada, striking doctor in Lyon, pleaded for the social movement at the microphone of Europe 1.

While the Minister of Health François Braun castigates the calendar chosen for this social movement, the health professional denounces a critical situation which does not date from today.

"The numerus clausus, it has been said for 30 years that it will go wrong in the 2020s", she criticizes to Europe 1.

"Nothing was done"

Mokhtaria Alikada goes even further.

"Each successive government knew that from 2020 to 2030, it was going to be a disaster and nothing was done", asserts the liberal doctor, who criticizes that the government "comes to put the blame on us who are understaffed, exhausted , who work from morning to evening"...

“We are told that it is our fault? But we are suffering from the situation!” thunders Mokhtaria Alikada.

"We are the ones who see patients without care crying in our waiting rooms because there is no longer a doctor," she adds.

She continues: "We are the ones who, every day, have to say no to people because we don't have enough space, because the days are only 24 hours long. So it's because we are officials that we are striking."

The striking doctor regrets that there have been "two months of silence" on the part of the government, since announcements last October.

"It is for our patients that we are fighting, to offer them quality care within a reasonable time", defends Mokhtaria Alikada.
