On the afternoon of the 28th, a limited express train collided with a person at Kyushu Kodaimae Station on the JR Kagoshima Main Line in Kitakyushu City, and the overhead wire on the track was cut, making it impossible to move the train.


Due to this effect, the suspension of operations continues, and JR Kyushu expects it will take some time to resume operations.

According to JR Kyushu, after 1:00 pm on the 28th, the limited express train "Sonic 23" came into contact with a person at Kyushu Kodaimae Station on the Kagoshima Main Line in Kitakyushu City.



It was confirmed that the pantograph was broken in this accident and the overhead wire of the track was cut.



At the scene, the limited express train cars have been unable to move, and the Kagoshima Main Line has suspended operations on the inbound and outbound lines between Kokura Station and Ebitsu Station.



According to JR Kyushu, no passengers on the train were injured.



JR Kyushu says it will take time to resume operation.



Police have also confirmed the death of a man who came into contact with the train.
