According to Stepanov, WhatsApp vulnerabilities allow attackers to collect significant amounts of data about users.

The specialist advised turning on geolocation only when necessary, logging into an account using two-factor authentication, and limiting the groups of people who can send messages and add to chats.

Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia said that Telegram users on December 17 faced massive attempts to steal their accounts.
