Mimie Mathy, who has played the guardian angel Joséphine for 25 years, returned to the success and longevity of her series.

On Europe 1, she wished to underline the audacity of certain leaders of TF1 who already at the time dared to choose a small person as a series heroine.

The series, launched in December 1997, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, a feat for a French television program.

So actress Mimie Mathy, who has played the main character since the launch, wanted to come back to the success and longevity of the show, describing an "extraordinary adventure".

Acceptance of differences

"I wanted to be a character who does good. I think it's great that Joséphine, with her difference that we never mention, has perhaps succeeded in developing a benevolence towards all differences , whatever they are," says the 65-year-old actress.

"You can watch all the episodes, nobody will ever say to me 'you are small' or 'but you walk with a limp'", she adds.
