2022 has been a particularly busy year for celebrity weddings.
While some unions were long-awaited after being postponed due to the pandemic, others were unexpected to say the least.
It is rather in this second category that this first retrospective of the marriages of stars of the year is placed.
We start with Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons who said “yes” to each other last July after six years of relationship and already two children on the clock.
However, the two actors have done so in sobriety, opting for a discreet ceremony in Jamaica.
We then move on to Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker who, unable to wait any longer to seal their love, took the road to Las Vegas in April for an Elvis lookalike to consecrate their union!
A rock'n'roll wedding, but without legal value, which was followed by a formal ceremony a few weeks later.
A long-awaited wedding
If there is a marriage that was expected this year, it is obviously that of Britney Spears with her companion Sam Asghari.
If the pop star wanted a low-key ceremony, her marriage unfortunately raised a multitude of controversies, whether because of the members of her family who were not invited, or her ex, Jason Alexander, who tried to embed.
And we end this first overview of the most memorable weddings of the year with that of François Hollande and Julie Gayet.
Nobody really expected it!
And yet, the former French president and the actress got married last June in Tulle, in Corrèze, in the greatest discretion.
A marriage that did not fail to surprise, even though the politician had never been married before.
