Emperor Akihito will celebrate his 89th birthday on the 23rd, and celebration events are being held at his residence.

Just before 11:00 a.m., Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress visited the Sento Imperial Palace, where the Emperor and Empress resided in Akasaka Imperial Palace in Minato-ku, Tokyo.



As they passed through the gates of the Akasaka Imperial Palace, Their Majesties opened the windows of their car and waved to the people who had gathered.



The Emperor will receive congratulations from Their Majesties, Prince Akishino and his wife, and Prime Minister Kishida in the afternoon.



According to the Imperial Household Agency, Emperor Akihito was diagnosed with heart failure in July this year, but he continues to take medicine and other treatments, and is improving. And so on, it means that you are spending quiet and calm days regularly.
